9Air offers cheap flights between Changsha and Lanzhou

9Air, a low-budget airline based in Guangdong province, started offering a new flight service between Changsha, capital of Central China's Hunan province, and Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province, on June 3.

Departing at 17:35 from Changsha, flight AQ1133 is scheduled to land in Lanzhou at 20:10 – a flight of less than three hours.

Flights will be available every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with single-journey tickets priced as low as 469 yuan ($70.69).

With summer holiday in full swing, airlines are bracing for a travel rush. The new flight is a great option for travelers interested in visiting national forests and parks or the great Yellow River in the northwestern Chinese city, or who wish to sample Hui ethnic foods, such as beef noodles.

Passengers can buy low-price tickets on 9Air's official website or app, or by using electronic payment platforms such as WeChat starting from June 29.

Lucky travelers will be able to get special offers, including 9-yuan and 99-yuan tickets, through various channels. The tickets exclude a free luggage allowance, and passengers can purchase it two hours before takeoff.
